Jim Morrison
Quartermaster/Adjutant - Army
Jim has been a Life Member of Post 4314 since 1998 and a VFW member for over 40 years. He served in the Army from 1965 to 1969 as a 67N20 UH-1H crewchief. He served in Vietnam from Nov. 1966 to Nov 1967 with the First Cavalry Division (Airmobile) and for 22 months in Germany with the 421st Medical Co. (Air Ambulance). His awards and decorations include the Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal with 15 Oak Leaf Clusters and Aircraft Crewman Wings. He obtained the rank of SSG E-6 in less than 3 years.
After Army Service Jim worked as a Store Director for Albertsons and Holiday Foods for 38 years, with over 25 years in the Burien area. He has a Batchelor's degree from Central Washington University. In retirement he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and kids, grand kids and great grandkids.
Jim is a past District 2 Commander and is currently National Aide-de-Camp.
